Worksite: National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center (NHOTIC). NHOTIC is located 5
miles east of Baker City, Oregon, on Highway 86. NHOTIC is administered through the
Bureau of Land Management, Vale District Office.
Purpose: To provide period music for special events at the Center.
Timeframe: Individual or group performances can be scheduled based on volunteer
availability and previously scheduled events.
Number of Volunteers Needed: No Limit
Specific Duties: Provide period music for special events.
Qualifications/Skills: Individuals or groups should have the ability to play period instruments
and/or sing period songs while dressed in historical costume. Experience performing for an
audience and knowledge of pioneer music and instruments a plus.
Training: No special training. Volunteers will already posses the skills and abilities to
perform for audiences.
Equipment: Instruments to be supplied by Volunteer(s). Sound system is available in the Leo
Adler Theater.
