Trail Tender Volunteers share their talents and show their support for the Center in many ways.

Our Volunteers can often be found:

  • greeting visitors to the Center

  • dressed in period costume for educational programs

  • tending a Dutch Oven at the Wagon Encampment

  • maintaining our trails and native plant garden

  • all around Eastern Oregon!

No matter what the contribution, all our volunteers add to our ability to keep the Interpretive Center a special place, a great tourist attraction and educational facility.

We have a variety of volunteer options for you!

If you enjoy connecting the past with the present, join us!

There are many volunteer opportunities, including greeter, shop assistant, and living history demonstrator.

Let us know your interests, skills, and availability. Whether you can only volunteer occasionally, or would like a regularly scheduled assignment, we probably have something for you. If you are interested, but feel you need more training…we will provide it!
