National Public Lands Day

On the last Saturday of September each year, thousands of volunteers pitch in at sites all over the country in support of our public lands.

National Public Lands Day is a nationwide effort to help care for parks, natural areas, historic sites, trails, watersheds, and other areas owned by the public. For 23 years, the last Saturday of September has been designated as National Public Lands Days (NPLD) with an estimated 170,000 volunteers throughout the country participating last year.
